What is FBI?

FBI is the short form of the federal bureau of investigation agency. The history of the FBI is very interesting. Attorney general Charles J Bonaparte has made a force of special agents who work is to investigate the department of justice and after that this group is transformed into the investigating agency name FBI. FBI is head by the director who is appointed by the president of the united state and his appointment is approved by the senate of United States of America.

The duration of appointment is not more than the 10 years and the current president of the FBI is Robert S. Mueller, III. The main mission of this organization is to protect the united state of America from the foreign intelligence threats and from the different terrorist organizations. FBI is also the guardian of the criminal law and it also shares the information with the different intelligence agencies, and gives support to the other law enforcement agencies. The head quarter of the FBI is in the Washington D.C. it has 56 field offices in the different cities of America and also has few sub offices. FBI has also had different offices in 60 different countries.  Instructions to these offices are sending by the head quarter.
